Rune Adventure · last updated 2 September 2026

Rune Adventure is a browser game. It needs an account so your character survives between visits, and it needs to show other players your name so the world has people in it. That is the whole of why anything is stored.

What is stored

What is not stored

Who it is shared with

Nobody. There are no analytics providers, no ad networks and no data brokers involved.

The one exception is the optional Discord integration: if the server operator has connected a Discord server, some in-game chat is relayed to a channel there, and your character name goes with it. Anything you type in a relayed channel is visible to that Discord server's members and to Discord itself. If you would rather not be relayed, do not use global chat.

Deleting everything

You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time, without asking anyone:

It happens immediately, and it is not reversible. Characters, items, bank, guild membership, critters and your login all go.

Two things are deliberately kept, and neither can be traced back to you:

If you led a guild, it is handed to whoever has been in it longest rather than being destroyed. If you were the only member, it goes with you.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for them. It has open chat with other players.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because there are no email addresses.
